HOHENHAUS.COM.AU — SHOWCASE

IF YOU WERE wondering what happens to Hohenhaus © images once they're presented to the design community, scroll down to see examples of our photos 'in action' around the world.

As a photographic team, the ultimate compliment for us is when a designer selects one or more of our photographs (from the myriad of images available) to incorporate into his or her graphic design.

Because each of our images has a unique story, we've provided some background information for our showcase. To the designers who have decided to incorporate our images into their work, we say thank you.

This selection is only a fraction of the more than 23,000 of our images designers have used to date. Where possible, we've included links to the designer who created a new graphic design with one of our images. If you buy a Hohenhaus © image to use with your design, send us the details and we'll showcase it here!

If you'd like to become a stock photo model, simply send a us a brief email with your contact details and a small photo and we'll reply within 48 hours. Please note, we are a Brisbane-based photographic team, which generally means people in the Brisbane, Gold/Sunshine Coast, Ipswich and surrounding areas.

THE following two designs feature images of a talented Brisbane model (below) who works under the name of sparky_roll in Brisbane, Australia. Sparky had just spent the morning surrounded by flowers for a 'pampering' series, when we asked her to throw on a stethoscope. Guess which photos proved more successful? Sparky's charming looks and fresh-faced smile lend any medical campaign considerable appeal.

> Pull-up banners for commercial trade fair

OUR model appears in the far right-hand banner, which formed one of three pull-ups designed for a facility management fair in Cracow. Designer: Marta Czerwinska

> Medical association resource guide

THIS resource guide (right) for members of the California Medical Association — features our talented model Sparky.

Designer — David Flatter

> Otelina — spa salon

GENEVA-BASED designer Designer NickF incorporated one of our most popular pampering images into an eye-catching brochure, promoting a new spa.  The designer was looking for images that matched the earthy colours and tones of the salon in Geneva.

This Hohenhaus © image (left) used in the brochure comes from a series of photos we took while working on the north coast of New South Wales. Although we created this image in a beachside apartment, our portable lighting studio and ample natural light, courtesy of some large windows, helped to save the day.

> Summer Vibes

DESIGNED to publicise a large public event in Australia, this free-wheeling collage (left) is both a visual feast and a tremendous credit to the talents of the designer. The man responsible for this breathtaking creation is Denver-based designer Shawn Astrom.

While Shawn hasn't used much of the original Hohenhaus © image (left), you can see how the plant in the bottom left-hand corner adds an extra something to the overall design. Well, we think so anyhow! Besides, we like the dreamy atmosphere this image creates; it's almost as if the viewer is lazing beside an ocean on an alien planet.

This image is one of many we have taken over the years on and around the old Darwin Wharf, in Australia's Northern Territory. As Darwin is a tropical town, be sure to wait for storm light if you want good tonal range in your outdoor photos.

> Funding Drive Bus Ad

IF you've visited Calgary Canada in 2007, then chances are you might have seen this memorable design gracing the side of a passenger bus. Okay, we'll admit it. You can hardly recognise the Hohenhaus © image (right) used in this work; it is very subtle.

However, the unique texture of the graphic's background comes from a beautiful 1933 book jacket, lending the work a rich period feel. Congratulations to designers Adam Bracegirdle and Darren Wood for another timeless graphic.

> Pack Your Bags! — an interactive book on CD-ROM

THE designer of this CD-ROM cover used several istock photos for the cover. The featured Hohenhaus © image includes an old beach bag of ours that we used in a series of beach-side images to showcase seaside holidays and fun. Designer: Nala

> Big Break Promo Cards

AS a means of attracting the attention of USA college students, a designer created beach-themed postcards that included one of our distinctive Hohenhaus © beach images.

Normally, we wouldn't recommend getting this close to the sand with your camera. No matter how careful you are, you always come home with grit in your bag! This image is part of a series of shots we took on a dreamy afternoon at Burleigh Heads, Queensland. Designer: Devon Sayers

> Swedish Book Cover

WE called this Hohenhaus image 'blank canvas', with good reason. Two designers have picked up on the theatrical connotations this canvas evokes, taking advantage of the generous copyspace to good effect.

This book cover called Applåder — means 'applause' in Swedish — was designed by Swedish graphic designer, Magnus Körner.

> Youth Group Advertisement

DESIGNER Michael Harmon used the same 'blank canvas' image (above) as a backdrop for this wonderful advertisement, which promotes the youth group presentation, "The Freak Show."

> Dot Crisis Fund Poster

ACCORDING to its designer, this poster was created to inform employees of their eligibility for a crisis fund.

We always enjoyed seeing this image being used creatively. Taken using the old 'pull focus' technique, this shot of a fire engine pumper really draws the eye.

Congratulations to designer: Yvette Seal who appears to have maxmimised the impact of the photograph with this clever combination of action, typography and light.
